Product Description
There’s an aura of 1930's blues about the Vintage Statesboro' Whisky Sour Series of acoustic and electro-acoustic guitars, designed by English guitarist and blues historian Paul Brett.
These cool acoustic and electro-acoustic guitars, not only have that authentic ‘feel it in your bones’ innate blues emotion, there’s also a modern approach within playability and sound that amateur and professional players will appreciate.
Available in dreadnought, concert and parlour body sizes, all models share that classic ‘bluesman on a budget’ theme, looking authentically cool in a satin matt, Whisky Sour finish highlighting the natural grain pattern of the all-mahogany construction and subtle soundhole rosette.
Electro-acoustic fans are also in for a real treat, as the dreadnought and concert models are available as electro-acoustic guitars, with single cutaway bodies and an additional Vintage preamp with controls for volume, bass, middle and treble, phase switch, tuner display and low battery indicator.
The warm, crisp resonant tone of the handpicked mahogany and palm-friendly neck profiles, smooth frets and a great action, make the Statesboro’ Whisky Sour Series acoustics, not merely an emotionally inspiring thrill for blues players, they’re also well-suited to a wide range of playing styles...and still wouldn’t look out of place on the front porch.

"Vintage" Statesboro Lefty
Purchased as a gift. I play righty, so I only strummed a couple of upside down chords, enough to get a feel for the song and rule out any fret buzz or rattles. What a pleasant surprise! All in all, I'm very impressed that a guitar at this low price point has such a full sound and good feel. Smooth fret ends and comfortable neck contour. I may get a right-handed one for myself as a couch / travel guitar. The top is so thin and responsive that I had to verify that it was indeed laminated. I'm normally fiercely loyal to a different brand, and used to playing more "high-intermediate" guitars, but I would highly recommend this to anyone needing an inexpensive guitar that definitely won't turn off a beginner, and would be perfectly enjoyable for more experienced players to play while saving for that dream guitar. Also, shipping was cheap, and the guys at Musician Madness packed and shipped this thing like it was a vintage Martin! A word about Kyle and Musician Madness. I got the same quality of advice and customer service with this cheap purchase as I did with an expensive one a while back. I am 4 states away, and have two local stores and one "Big Box" within 25 minutes to an hour away, but I don't even check with them for new purchases anymore.
