Mapex Saturn Evolution Maple 8" x 7" Tom – Gun Metal Grey (SET807MBPG)
The Mapex Saturn Evolution Maple 8" x 7" Tom features advanced shell mounting technology designed to maximize resonance, sustain, and tonal control. Finished in Gun Metal Grey, this tom is part of the Saturn Evolution Series and incorporates Mapex's SONIClear II Halo mounting system.
The SONIClear II Halo mount uses a one-piece suspension ring with four diagonal contact points positioned below the lug line. This design distributes mounting pressure more evenly, allowing the shell to vibrate freely for an open, resonant sound.
An integrated Sustain Adjustment Knob allows players to fine-tune the drum's resonance and decay by adjusting the contact area between the mount and shell. Mapex SONIClear bearing edges help produce a strong fundamental pitch while making tuning easier, particularly at lower tensions.
Additional features include Sonic Saver hoops and Nodal Line Air Flow Venting for enhanced shell performance.
