The maple/walnut hybrid shells produce the warm, full-bodied tone that has defined the Saturn Series. Maple contributes an open, resonant character, while walnut adds depth and a strong fundamental pitch. The result is a versatile sound with excellent projection and a controlled low-end response.

Mapex SONIClear bearing edges improve contact between the drumhead and shell, helping reduce unwanted frequencies while providing a strong fundamental tone and easier tuning, particularly at lower tensions.
