Open Box - Guitar has been opened and demonstrated
Description
When Steve Vai teamed up with Ibanez in 1987, the collaboration created one of the most recognizable signature guitars ever made. The Ibanez JEM has since become an iconic instrument, instantly associated with Vai’s unmistakable style, technical playing, and bold design.
The JEMJRL carries that legacy forward with fast playability, versatile H-S-H electronics, a double-locking tremolo system, and the signature Monkey Grip that has defined the JEM for decades.
Product Features
Wizard III Maple Neck
The thin, flat, and fast Wizard III Maple neck is built for speed and comfort while maintaining excellent strength and stability. Its 24-fret, two-octave design provides extended range for lead playing and technical passages.
Jatoba Fretboard
The Jatoba fretboard delivers a rich midrange with a crisp, articulate high end.
Jumbo Frets
Jumbo frets provide a smooth playing feel and make single-note playing, bends, and lead work easier and more responsive.
Meranti Body
The Meranti body produces a sweet tonal character with a slightly scooped midrange response.
Quantum H-S-H Pickups
The Quantum pickup configuration delivers fast bass response, powerful mids, and precise high-end articulation. The H-S-H layout provides plenty of versatility for everything from aggressive rhythm work to fluid lead tones.
Double Locking Tremolo
The double-locking tremolo system helps maintain tuning stability during aggressive vibrato, dive bombs, and expressive tremolo techniques.
Special Features
Monkey Grip
One of the most recognizable features of the JEM series, the signature Monkey Grip gives the guitar its unmistakable Steve Vai-inspired appearance.
