Product Description
The RR-41-VS is a professional-quality wood-body resonator that delivers authentic vintage tone at an incredible value. Part of the esteemed RR-41 series, this small-body instrument is designed for musicians across diverse genres, including folk, blues, and country. With a rich Sunburst Gloss finish and high-quality components, it embodies the grit and soul of classic American roots music.
At the heart of the RR-41-VS’s expressive voice is a 9.5-inch European hand-spun Recording King cone. This superior "tone engine" is mounted in an innovative open pedestal-style soundwell, supported by soundposts that allow vibrations to bounce freely throughout the full cavity of the body. This unique design produces a broad sonic palette with an open, thick midrange and exceptional volume that cuts through any mix.
Crafted for roadworthy reliability and comfortable playability, the RR-41-VS features an all-mahogany construction. The mahogany neck is carved with a comfortable Thin C profile and joined to the body with a traditional dovetail joint. It is topped with a stable Padauk fingerboard and features a 25-inch scale length for a familiar feel. High-quality Grover tuning machines, a bone nut, and a maple biscuit bridge with an ebony/maple saddle ensure excellent energy transfer and tuning stability.
