Product Description
The RR-50-VS conjures images of the 1930s and '40s, the golden era of American roots music, when the resonator was the loudest acoustic instrument a working guitarist could get their hands on.
Crafted entirely from mahogany with a parallelogram soundwell and 12-fret neck joint, the Professional Resonator is built the traditional way. The hand-spun Recording King cone delivers true, loud resonator tone, and the parallelogram soundwell combines with it to produce balanced vintage-style tone with excellent volume and projection.
The roundneck profile makes the RR-50-VS the versatile choice in the Professional Resonator range. The contemporary rounded neck shape appeals to modern musicians who prefer comfort, and the 25.5" scale length gives pleasant string tension — letting players dig in freely without hindering those who prefer a softer, more articulate touch.
Grover tuning machines, a bone nut, and a maple/ebony saddle deliver sustain and tuning stability, while rounded soundhole screens and slotted screws conjure genuine vintage mojo. Mother-of-pearl dot position markers and the Recording King Crown and Block headstock complete the look. The vintage sunburst finish does the rest.
