Product Description
Madison Open Back Banjo with Scooped Fretboard
The RK-OT25-BR is built for the old-time tradition. An open-back design and steam-bent maple rim give this banjo the woody, resonant tone that old-time players have always chased, and Recording King have thought carefully about every detail that makes that tone possible.
The scooped rosewood fretboard is the centrepiece — a feature that speaks directly to the clawhammer player. The frailing scoop lets you pick further up the neck for a warmer, woodier sound, giving your right hand the room it needs to work naturally. Pair that with an old-style Remo FiberSkyn head — chosen for its warm, vintage voice over the brighter tones of a standard head — and you have a banjo that sounds like it belongs to another era, in the best possible way.
The construction backs it up. A true steam-bent maple rim, planetary tuners, maple neck with adjustable truss rod, and a maple/ebony bridge give the OT25 a foundation that will satisfy players well beyond the beginner stage.
